"What the Heck Do I have in my Cabinets" Recipe: Homemade Cheese Crackers

Our snacks our dwindling with my "eat through my cabinets challenge" - but not my spirits!  Today, I made homemade cheese crackers.  It's simple.  Oh and for the record - I'm not some hippy, organic person. I'm just cheap.  Very, very cheap.

 There are only 6 ingredients:

1 cup of flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
4 tbsp COLD butter
8 oz. Cheddar Cheese
3-4 tbsp water

Directions:
Pulse flour, salt & pepper.  Add butter and pulse until all crumbly.  Add cheese and pulse until all crumbly. Add water, 1 tbsp at a time until you get a doughy ball.  It will take like a minute or two to realize a ball is forming.  It will look kind of like this:

Wrap your dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.

Roll in between two sheets of waxed paper.  About 1/8" inch thick.  Since Valentine's Day is next month, I used a mini heart cookie cutter.  I bake them on parchment paper in an oven that is 350 degrees.  Cook for 15-20 minutes.

And then you have a whole bunch of little cheese crackers.

I think they work best with white flour - but I bought this "Whole Wheat White" at Trader Joe's a while back only because they didn't have any traditional white.  I hate whole wheat flour.  I just think things made with it are nasty.  This adds to my white trashiness.  Anyways - I'm trying to use it all up.  So this was a good recipe to use it in.
