I will be going on vacation next week and there is a Shaw's right down the road from where we will be staying. I was going to shop when I got there to save me from packing a ton of food items. Do you need a card to get the sale prices? And do they automatically double your coupons? I am just trying to figure out if it is worth shopping when I get there. Thanks!

Thanks Susan! Would make that Deal sweeter!

SAHC - Yes. You do need a Shaw's card to get the sale prices. Usually, if you just tell the cashier that you "forgot your card" - they'll scan a master card for you. If you don't feel like taking the chance, just stop by the service desk and they'll give you one right there on the spot. Shaw's registers do typically just double all MFCs under $1.00. I've heard of reports that some stores do not. Most stores I have hit up do double automatically though. Hope this helps!! Enjoy your vacation!!

Just so you know - prices to vary slightly by region. Usually the more "upscale" areas have a little higher sales prices. Most things are the same, but every now and then, you'll see a few items that are marked up higher at certain stores.
