Saving Money Challenge: Turn Rotten Fruit into Breakfast!

Yep.  They're brown.  Almost black.  Whenever I buy bananas (quite often actually...), we usually don't eat all of them before they go.  I try to be good and freeze them for smoothies, but every now and then, I forget and they end up like this:


Ugh.  Disgusting.  If it was July, they'd be covered in fruit flies.  


That's when I whip out my favorite Better Homes & Garden cook book!

And a measly half hour later....
Voila!  16 muffins fit for consumption (at least I hope they are fit for consumption).  I think I cooked them a little too long, but that's okay.  The husband and kids won't mind.
