Random Bostonian Things To Do For Cheap

Last night, we met up with some friends at the Boston Children's Museum!  Why?  $1 Friday nights from 5 pm to 9 pm!  $4 for a couple hours of fun was great!  Many thanks to Target for sponsoring such a great event!  I was also able to score a parking spot on the street - so no $11 or $13 parking for me!  ha ha ha ha!  I feel like such a bandit when I score free or meter parking in Boston!

Here's a couple random cheap things to do in the city.  If you know of any other deals out there, let me know!

Library Passes - Get free or discounted museum passes from your own local library!  Click on Library Passes to find your local South Shore library!  Attractions available at your library may include the Franklin Park Zoo (and Stone Zoo), South Shore Natural Science Center, The Sports Museum, Plimoth Plantation, JFK Museum, Boston Children's Museum, New England Aquarium, Museum of Science, Museum of Fine Arts, Roger Williams Park Zoo & the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

Also, this isn't just Massachusetts!  I was looking at my mother's hometown library's website (Southern Connecticut) and there were great passes for Connecticut attractions too (Mystic Seaport and Aquarium included!)

Boston Children's Museum  - $1 Friday nights from 5 pm-9 pm.  Thanks Target!

Museum of Fine Art - Free on Wednesdays from 4 pm - 9:45 pm.  Thanks Citizens Bank!

New England Aquarium - Massachusetts Teachers get free admission.

I live in the middle of NH and our library also has passes.. i'm sure if your within an hour or so of Boston you can get them :)

I use them all the time.

The New Children's Museum of NH is also really nice and relativly inexpensive... located right of route 16 in Dover NH :)

We get to go to the Aquarium tomorrow at the discount rate of 8 per person! We are saving over 30 bucks thanks library!! We booked 2 dollar tickets at the Children Museum through our library as well :) I am such an advocate of using the library passes! Parking will kill us easily be 30 or 40 because I don't want the hassle of walking with a 4 year old and 17 month old on and off the T!

Hey B&B! Not sure if you know this, but parking at Post Office Square is only $9 on the weekends. (Maybe $10 now? I think $9 though). That's not too far from the Aquarium. The lots right next to the Aquarium are ridiculous! I think I paid $33 for about 2 hours once. Grrrrr!!!!

I have a 17 monther too!
