Shaw's Double Catalina Trip!

I did the following trip yesterday at Shaw's. I double dipped the GM Catalina and it worked like a charm. Even though I'm paying some OOP for the P&G deal, we needed paper towels and it's still a killer deal. Will probably do P&G scenario again since it comes out to less than $5 OOP for both a 8-pack of paper towels and 12 pack of toilet paper.

Your kitchen is going to get stocked! I was wondering about the Breyer's, which could be the best deal. Sounds like the free one counted toward the spend? That would be unusual.

Yes, the free one PSP DOES count towards it.

Extra bonus - buy just a Klondike or 2 Breyers on your "first" trip - and it will generate a $4 off 5 Breyers/Klondike coupon at the register.

My friend Celeste at Itty Bitty Bistro did a round that had some H&B stuff in it and the transaction didn't generate the $15 CATs. I think some scents were not entered in.

slickdeals.net has a list of all the items included in the GM deal. I am stocking up on a bunch of items that are crazy expensive like the all detergent, cereal, peanut butter, etc...lots of food for just a dollar or two OOP when I do the deals in $30 increments.

Thanks Becky for turning me on to this cat!!

OK, good tip on the Breyer's! I'm off to Shaw's. Unfortunately I have to take my 4 kids so this could be a real headache. Then I'm going back tonight.

Ok Becky, tell me what I did wrong today. I had my scenario worked out before I went but somehow none of the cats printed, nor did the breyers coupon! Here's what I did:
2 Skippy PBs (2.49ea psp)
2 Lipton Soups (1.89ea psp)
2 Breyers Ice cream (5.49 psp)
1 YoPlus (2.99 psp)
2 All (5.49 psp)

My total Psp came to 33.73. I only spent 15.39 oop after coupons and sales but nothing printed. Of course I didn't even question the cashier about it but I'm totally bummed! This was my first round and I had all these other scenarios to do with the cats (like the dove double dip). What went wrong??

Kris,

I have massive issues with cat's at my shaw's too (bangor, maine). They only print out correctly about half the time. I am probably going to complain to corporate at some point.

Kris,
I went through self check out yesterday and my cats did not print. I went to the service desk and they had them printed out for me. Definitely worth the 5 minutes of my time. I'd bring the receipt back if you have the time and show them to get the cats. Your deal should have worked for sure...I've done basically the same deal.

It's possible the coupon printer was out of paper Kris. That's a real bummer. I'd bring the receipt back to customer service and see if they'll do anything for you. Just remember: All that stuff for $15 is STILL a good deal! Of course, on my first round here on Friday (I made a mistake - tried to correct it but just ended up returning everything)...the service desk ladies were catalina nazis - insisting that I had to buy $30 sale price worth. I wasn't going to battle them, so I returned it all and went on my way. For the inquiring minds - it was the Shaw's in Dorchester.

Thanks everyone. I think I'm just going to count my losses, I hate to go and complain about it and make them realize that we are running these deals psp. I figure I got a lot of stuff still for not a ton of money. I am going to try it again tonight once the husband gets home. Wish me luck!
