Oh how I love the 99 Restaurant. They have locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It's like an Applebee's of the Northeast (but so much better in so many ways!) We've only gone out to dinner about 4 or 5 times this year with our kids. All but 1 of those times were at the 99 (the other was at Friendly's). For whatever reason, our kids behave pretty decent at this place. The servers are really nice (or they are great actors). The food is great - it's wonderfully priced and the portions are excellent (usually no leftovers).
In case you didn't know - the 99 has this AWESOME promotion going on. They had it last year too. The day after EVERY Red Sox WIN, you can score yourself a FREE kids meal with every paying adult meal. Now granted, you have to actually have kids there to get it. They have a bunch of typical kids entrees to choose from and they all come with a dessert. You have to pay for the kid's drink.
Maybe you don't have kids (or maybe the Red Sox didn't win) - but they also have coupons at their website (Click HERE for them!). Rumor has it that you can't combine the $5 coupon with the Red Sox promo. I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure that is the case.
So even though I don't like the Red Sox (I'm a Yankees fan) - sometimes I'll secretly root for them just so I can talk the husband into going out to eat the next day! Free kids meals are great!

I have at least 99 reasons why I love The 99, not the least of which is their short rib sliders. OMG delicious. That said, how did I not know about this promotion? Thanks for the heads-up!
