Score 3 Months of FREE 2-DAY Shipping at Amazon.com

Amazon has this great new service for moms and dads.  It's called Amazon Mom.  To find out more information about it, click HERE.

Here's the gist of it:

-  FREE sign-up.  When you do sign-up with your current Amazon account, you automatically get Amazon Prime (which includes FREE 2-Day shipping on every order) for 3 months (think Christmas!).

-  Here's some more good info.  For every $25 you spend in their baby store in a single order, you'll tack on another month of Amazon Prime for free.

-  If you buy diapers and sign up for Subscribe and Save (they automatically ship to you in the interval you select), you save a ton of money.  I think Pampers, that are usually $48 a case at BJ's comes out to be $35.    I just scored a box of Pull-Ups which is normally $28 at BJ's for just $15 on this Amazon deal.

-  Just be sure to cancel the Subscribe and Save option when you have no need for diapers or whatever you are buying.  Or if you just don't want to do it anymore.

Thanks to my friend Lori who threw this deal my way the other day!

Rolling The CAT (x2)

This isn't "spectacular" but still not bad for $9 OOP and $23 OYNP coupons...(I bought a few other things, but won't bore you with that).

Total Pre-Sale - $54.30
(did it all in my head at the store - didn't realize I was so over the $50 mark)

Total Sale -  $35.00

Total after $6 in MFCs and $20 in CATS - $9.00 OOP

Earned $23.00 OFF MY NEXT PURCHASE

I bought - 9 Steamers (3 $1/3 MFCs), 5 boxes of Fruit Snacks (gave me an extra $3 CAT), 1 Sweet Moments Brownies ($1/1 MFC), 4 containers of Yoplait Yogurt (2 $1/2 MFCs), & 1 Progresso Soup (my "what if I didn't really hit $50 purchase).  I was too lazy to print off fruit snack coupons before I left.  Had I done that and eliminated the can of soup, I would have paid $6 OOP and gotten $23 back in CATs.

2 Simple (and healthy!) Stock Up Scenarios If you Don't Have Coupons:

12 Progresso Soups - $12 OOP, Earn $10 OYNP (Net $2 for 12 cans of soup)

10 Green Giant Steamers (orig. price $2.59) - $15.00 OOP, Earn $10 OYNP (Net .50 cents per bag of vegetables).  Just watch - some of the Steamers original prices are $2.79 - meaning, you'd only have to buy 9 to hit the $25 pre-sale mark.

2 Double Dippers with this Week's Shaw's Catalina

So yeah, the backpage Catalina (spend $25, get $10) is a good one.  If I'm motivated, maybe I'll write out a few scenarios this week.  But I wanted to bring attention 2 items that will generate a second CAT.

Betty Crocker Frosting - Reg. Price $2.19 (?), Sale $1.49

Buy 2, get $1 OYNP
Buy 3, get $2 OYNP
Buy 4 or more, get $3 OYNP

Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks (Reg. Fruit Snacks, Fruit Roll Ups, Gushers (nasty!), and Fruit By the Foot) - Reg. Price is probably around $2.99 but you have to check each variety yourself.  Sale - $2

Buy 3, Get $1 OYNP
Buy 4, Get $2 OYNP
Buy 5, Get $3 OYNP

So what this is basically telling you is that if you incorporate 4 tubs of Betty Crocker Frosting and 5 boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks into your $25 (pre-sale price) Catalina, you will actually get $16 back in CATs.  It's kind of like you are "Double Dipping" the catalinas.

Shaw's Catalina This Week!

Looks like a good week for a Shaw's Catalina!  This one is "Spend $25 on select products, get $10 Off Your Next Purchase."  In the past, these catalinas have worked on pre-sale prices.  You can also use MFCs to bring the prices down even further.  I'll probably be using this CAT to my advantage by stocking up on Progresso Soup and frozen vegetables.  A lot of these products have coupons from the paper (where I get most of my coupons) - but you can also print out more at Coupons.com, Smartsource.com,  BettyCrocker.com and Boxtops4education.com.

Happy Shaw's Shopping this week!

House Party Review - Durex Girl Talk

Yep, this is a Bargain Becky original creation.  You ain't going to see this in any Martha Stewart magazine.

I had the pleasure of hosting a Durex Girl Talk party this past weekend.  I'm a huge fan of House Party - but sadly, I rarely get selected for parties.  In the past I've hosted a Splenda party, and Arnold Sandwich Thins party and most recently - my Condom Party!  Woohoo!  Nothing like a bunch of 30 something housewives getting together to talk about condoms - especially when virtually all of our husbands have had vasectomies.

Well part of my "party pact" included the fact that I would blog about it.  So in case you didn't know, Durex has a full line of products that can help enhance anyone's love life - it's not just condoms people.  The best part is you can find these products in your local drug or super-chain store.  This is especially beneficial for the housewife who needs a little help with whatever, but doesn't want to look like a perv going into an adult store.  So next time you are in Wally World or CVS, check out Durex's extensive line of products.  Feeling lazy?  Check them out online by clicking HERE.  Or better yet, "Like" them on Facebook at Durex USA.

Oops...

Sorry about the family post - accidentally posted it to this blog.  I deleted it right away, but not sure if it pops up in Google Reader or other blog readers out there.  Sometimes I just do dumb things like that.  Okay, actually, it's more like a lot of times.

Now back to being a housewife:

Shaw's Trip - Spent $84, Saved $84

So as my kids are getting older, it's like they are turning into opinionated people with wants and desires.  Gosh I miss those days when they just sat in that portable car seat and didn't talk.  I probably spend more these days because of items like Spongebob Soup and Dannon Dannimals.  On the flip side, I'm still kind of happy that a can of soup keeps my 4 year-old happy - even through the checkout with all the candy.  I give him about 7 more months until soup starts to "suck" and Hershey bars rule.  I'm really hoping he doesn't start saying the word "suck" in 7 months though.

Started with a $10 CAT
Total Before Savings:  $169.49
Total Preferred Savings:  $48.68
Total Coupons Used:  $36.12
Cash OOP:  $84.69
CAT Earned:  $5.00
